Breaking News - Atlanta Prepares for an Xtreme Takeover Decatur, GA (AP)
Atlanta is preparing for a Takeover and experts believe it will be Xtreme. The weekend of June 8 - June 11, some 250 young people will converge on Ray of Hope Christian Church in Decatur for the Xtreme Takeover youth conference. Ray of Hope youth ministry, better known as "2:9", along with young people from Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church in Memphis, TN and Light of the World Christian Church in Indianapolis, TN will come together with an agenda. Their mission...to Takeover metro Atlanta for the kingdom of God. ATL is only the beginning. The Takeover movement will no doubt spread to other states.
The Takeover will begin on Thursday June 8 @ 7:00pm, with the Takeover opening worship service. Sources report that this will not be your ordinary, run of the mill service. They are not holding back or cutting edges. Ministering in dance will be C.H.O.S.E.N. and Royal Revelation. Guest Psalmist will be award winning Canton Jones. Providing the beats will be DJ Radikal and bringing the word in true Hip Hop fashion will be Elder eDDie Velez AKA "Da Preachin Puerto Rican" of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. The services are open to the public. Be there. Tell your friends, family and neighbors....this is something you don't want to miss. One youth is quoted as saying "I will definitely be up in the house on Thursday...It's going down!"
